Katiucia do Carmo (Kate) has worked in childcare for over 10 years. Seventeen years ago, she discovered her passion for early years whilst volunteering as a teacher for Sunday bible school. Kate has a degree in Early Years and has been developing her career since then. She has experience as a teaching assistant, nursery nurse, nursery practitioner, room leader, senior supervisor, SENCO and DSL (Designated Safeguard Lead). She is currently a teacher for a Brazilian Community Centre and CEO of Spacecraft Childhood. Kate loves being around children and supporting their development. She believes that happiness, enthusiasm, and patience are fundamental for children to thrive. She has always dreamed of becoming an Parent Coach and sharing her knowledge and passion with other parents and profissionais. She loves communicating with others and motivating people to believe that we all have an essential role to play in children’s lives. She is fascinated with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and her most significant achievement is implementing the curriculum everywhere she goes. When Kate is not working, she enjoys spending time outside, having long walks at the beach or parks, reading various books, and playing the piano while singing with her kids.
